Keep-Full vs. Will-Call Propane Delivery: Which Is Right for You?

When you set up propane service, you'll choose between two delivery styles. The right one depends on how hands-on you want to be.

Keep-full (routed) delivery

The supplier monitors your tank — often with a cellular monitor — and automatically delivers before you run low, typically around 30–50% full. You never think about it, you never run out, and because the supplier can plan efficient routes, it's usually the cheaper option per gallon.

Will-call delivery

You watch your own tank gauge and call for a delivery when you're low. It gives you control over timing, but it costs the supplier more (they can't plan routes), so it usually carries a higher margin, a delivery fee, a minimum order, and a required lead time. Forget to call and you risk a run-out — and run-out fees.

Which should you pick?

With Propane Alliance, keep-full comes with free monitoring and no delivery fees — which is why most members choose it.
